About Accor Arena

Accor Arena opened in 1984 in the Bercy district of Paris's 12th arrondissement. Designed by a team of architects including Michel Andrault, Pierre Parat, and Aydin Guvan, the building was originally known as the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy (POPB). Its distinctive stepped, grass-covered pyramid exterior became one of Paris's most recognisable modern landmarks. The arena hosted events during the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics and the 1998 FIFA World Cup. In 2015, it underwent significant renovation works to modernise the interior and improve acoustics and visitor facilities. It was subsequently renamed the AccorHotels Arena and later rebranded as Accor Arena in 2021 following a sponsorship update.

Accor Arena's steep, bowl-shaped seating configuration means even upper-tier spectators feel close to the action, generating an energetic and intimate atmosphere for an arena of its size. Concert-goers benefit from improved acoustics following the 2015 renovation, while sports fans enjoy excellent sightlines from virtually every seat. Events regularly sell out, and the crowd noise can be formidable, particularly during boxing nights and top-level basketball fixtures.

Accor Arena is a landmark destination for live events in Paris with a capacity of about 20,300. Whatever you're here to see, Staadly's verified listings and interactive seat map help you find the right seat at the right price.
