About Emirates Stadium
Emirates Stadium was built to replace Arsenal's long-standing home of Highbury, which had become too small and impossible to expand sufficiently. Designed by architects HOK Sport (now Populous), construction began in 2004 and the stadium opened in July 2006. Arsenal played their first competitive match there in August 2006. The ground was initially known as Ashburton Grove — its address — before a naming rights agreement with Emirates airline was confirmed. It has since hosted Champions League nights, FA Cup matches, and witnessed numerous milestone moments in Arsenal's history, including record-breaking Premier League winning streaks under Arsène Wenger and, later, Mikel Arteta's title-challenging sides.
Emirates Stadium generates a passionate atmosphere on big European and derby nights in particular, when the crowd of over 60,000 creates a wall of noise. The lower and upper tiers wrap tightly around the pitch, keeping sound enclosed and intensity high. The Clock End and North Bank ends have historically been the most vocal sections, and the ground fills quickly given Arsenal's strong season-ticket following.
Few venues in London match Emirates Stadium for atmosphere; with a capacity near 60,704, the biggest fixtures and tours sell out fast. Every listing on this page is from a verified seller, with the price you see the price you pay.
