About UNITED CENTER
The United Center opened in 1994, replacing the iconic Chicago Stadium that had stood next door since 1929. It was developed jointly by the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks organisations and built at a cost of around $175 million, making it one of the first major sports arenas in North America to be privately financed. The arena is perhaps best known as the stage for Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls' second three-peat of NBA Championships in the mid-to-late 1990s. A bronze statue of Jordan stands outside the main entrance, becoming one of the city's most photographed landmarks. The venue has since hosted WWE events, major concert tours, and political gatherings, including the 2024 Democratic National Convention.
The United Center generates an electric atmosphere on game nights, particularly during Blackhawks and Bulls fixtures. The arena's steep seating bowl brings fans close to the action and amplifies crowd noise effectively. Bulls nights carry a palpable sense of history, while Blackhawks games are renowned for a passionate, loud fanbase. Concourse areas are well appointed with a wide range of food, drink, and merchandise options.
Set in CHICAGO, UNITED CENTER holds roughly 20,917 spectators and delivers a matchday and concert experience that draws crowds from across the region. Browse upcoming events below and buy with confidence on Staadly.
