The Stadio Brianteo was built in the late 1980s and opened in 1988, replacing Monza's earlier ground. It was constructed to give AC Monza a modern, purpose-built home in the heart of Brianza. The stadium gained renewed prominence when AC Monza, backed by former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and sporting director Adriano Galliani, won promotion to Serie A for the first time in the club's history in 2022 — a landmark moment for a provincial club competing at Italy's top level. The ground was renamed the U-Power Stadium following a commercial naming-rights agreement with the Italian workwear brand U-Power.
