About RED BULL RING
The site in Spielberg has a long motorsport heritage. A circuit first opened here in 1969 as the Österreichring, a fast, sweeping track set against the Styrian hills that hosted the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix through the 1970s and 1980s. The venue was significantly redeveloped and reopened in 1997 as the A1 Ring, hosting F1 until 2003. Red Bull purchased the circuit and undertook a further comprehensive rebuild, with the current configuration reopening in 2011. It returned to the F1 calendar in 2014 and has since become one of the most popular rounds of the season, known for its scenic setting and compact, high-speed layout.

The Red Bull Ring sits near the town of Spielberg in Styria, roughly 60 km north of Graz. The nearest major rail hub is Zeltweg, a short distance from the circuit, with shuttle buses running on event days. Graz Airport is the most convenient air gateway.
