About Reale Arena (Anoeta)
Anoeta stadium opened in 1993, replacing Real Sociedad's previous home at Atotxa. The ground was built to modernise the club's facilities and provide a larger, purpose-built arena befitting a club that had won back-to-back La Liga titles in the early 1980s. In the years that followed, the stadium underwent significant renovation works — most notably a major refurbishment completed around 2019 that saw the installation of a new roof, improved seating, and upgraded facilities throughout. The revamped ground was renamed Reale Arena following a sponsorship agreement with insurance company Reale Seguros.
