About Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán
The Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán was built in the late 1950s and officially opened in 1958, named in honour of a former Sevilla FC president. The stadium was designed by Spanish architect Manuel Muñoz Monasterio. It served as a venue during the 1982 FIFA World Cup and has hosted UEFA Cup finals as well as numerous European nights for Sevilla FC, who have claimed six UEFA Europa League titles. A succession of renovation works over the decades has modernised the stadium while preserving its intimate, steeply-tiered character. It remains one of the most atmospheric grounds in Spanish football.
The Sánchez-Pizjuán is renowned for generating one of the most intense atmospheres in European football. Its steep stands envelop the pitch, trapping noise and creating a wall of sound on big occasions. The Sevilla faithful, particularly in the curvas (end stands), are vocal and passionate throughout matches, making it a genuinely intimidating venue for visiting sides.
Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán is one of the most in-demand places to watch live sport and entertainment in Seville, with room for around 43,883 fans on a big night. Staadly lists verified resale tickets for every event here, all-in priced and backed by the 100% buyer guarantee.
