About Croke Park

Croke Park has been home to the GAA since 1884, with the ground itself first used in 1896. Its darkest chapter came on 21 November 1920 — Bloody Sunday — when British Crown forces opened fire on a crowd during a Gaelic football match, killing 14 civilians. The stadium was subsequently redeveloped across several decades, with the iconic Cusack Stand opening in 1938. A major modernisation programme from the 1990s into the 2000s produced the current 82,300-capacity arena. The new Hogan, Davin and Canal End stands were completed by 2005, transforming Croke Park into a world-class venue and cementing its place at the heart of Irish sporting and cultural life.

Croke Park on All-Ireland final day is among the most electric sporting atmospheres in Europe. County colours fill every tier of the vast terraces, and the roar that greets the teams' arrival onto the pitch is genuinely spine-tingling. The stadium's enclosed bowl design amplifies crowd noise brilliantly. Even for concerts, the venue's scale and sightlines create a memorable shared experience for audiences of all sizes.

Few venues in Dublin match Croke Park for atmosphere; with a capacity near 82,000, the biggest fixtures and tours sell out fast. Every listing on this page is from a verified seller, with the price you see the price you pay.

How to get to Croke Park

Croke Park sits in the Drumcondra neighbourhood of north Dublin, roughly 2 km from the city centre. The nearest Luas stop is not directly adjacent; most visitors arrive via Dublin Bus routes along the North Circular Road or by walking from Connolly or Drumcondra rail stations. On match days, road closures are common, so public transport or walking from the city centre is strongly advised.
