About Arrowhead Stadium
Arrowhead Stadium opened in 1972 as part of the Harry S Truman Sports Complex, alongside the neighbouring Kauffman Stadium. It was designed by architecture firm Kivett and Myers and was purpose-built for American football. The stadium replaced Municipal Stadium as the Chiefs' home ground. Over the decades it has hosted numerous AFC Championship Games and became a Super Bowl–winning team's fortress in the modern era, with the Chiefs claiming multiple AFC and NFL titles during their dominant run from the late 2010s onwards. The venue underwent a major renovation completed in 2010, modernising its facilities while preserving its iconic bowl structure and passionate gameday identity.
